AM+PM is the complete daily system: three mushrooms to sharpen the morning, three to deepen the night. Six species, two bottles, one rhythm.

Early days

Most people notice the day start to bookend more cleanly. Mornings arrive with less fog and more momentum; evenings settle faster, with less of the wired-but-tired carry-over. Some feel the AM side first, others the PM. The combination tends to make both more obvious.

With consistent use

Over weeks, what develops is a reliable cycle. Focus holds through the day, rest actually restores, and the gap between them sharpens. People describe waking clearer, working longer without friction, and recovering more completely overnight. The two halves reinforce each other.

Full-spectrum extraction

AM combines hericenones and erinacines from Lion's Mane, cordycepin and adenosine from Cordyceps, and D-fraction beta-glucans from Maitake. PM unites triterpenes and polysaccharides from Reishi, PSK and PSP from Turkey Tail, and lentinan and eritadenine from Shiitake. MYCRO's dual extraction preserves the complete compound profile of all six species in balanced water-and-alcohol fractions.

AM+PM is grown across our Western Australian and Victorian farms using controlled environments that mirror each species’ natural habitat.

Hardwood-loving mushrooms like Lion’s Mane, Maitake, Reishi, Shiitake and Turkey Tail grow on sterilised Australian hardwood and lupin hull substrates under regulated humidity, airflow and light to replicate the forest floor.

Cordyceps militaris is cultivated on a vegan nutrient medium at Australia’s first dedicated Cordyceps farm, designed to match the chemistry of its natural host while remaining entirely plant-based.

Each block or culture is incubated until fully colonised, then transitioned into precisely tuned fruiting rooms or outdoor microclimates where temperature, oxygen and light shifts trigger growth. Every species is harvested at peak maturity, when bioactive concentration is highest, and processed immediately for extraction. Spent substrates are composted back into local agriculture to complete the cycle.

This combination of renewable-energy facilities, regenerative materials and scientific control produces the purity and potency behind the AM and PM: clarity and endurance in the morning, balance and restoration at night.

In our biotech lab, Dr Kyle Thomson and our team fractionate each harvested mushroom; that is, we divide it into distinct chemical groups (fractions) based on solubility, structure, and behavior.

Each fraction is then run through a bespoke extraction method. We carefully adjust: temperature, agitation, dilution, extraction time, and sonication settings, to extract and preserve each class of bioactive compounds without damage.

We avoid concentrating only one compound (e.g. beta-glucans). Instead, after the individual extractions, the fractions are recombined to mirror the natural “full-spectrum” balance found in the mushroom.

For stability and versatility, we use dual-extraction (water + alcohol). Some compounds (like triterpenoids, sterols, flavonoids) are not water-soluble and require alcohol to unlock them.

In our final blend, we maintain a 1:1.44 extract ratio (i.e. 3600 mg dual-extracted mushroom per dose).

To support consumer needs, we also offer alcohol-free versions. The alcohol is removed (via rotary evaporation), and the extract is stabilised with certified organic apple cider vinegar, instead of glycerin and synthetic preservatives.

Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus)

Only H. erinaceus is true Lion's Mane. It is the most extensively researched species in the genus and the only one with a significant body of published literature on cognitive function. MYCRO exclusively cultivates genetically verified strains sourced from world-class culture banks, ensuring consistent hericenone and erinacine expression and reliable nootropic character.

Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris)

Only cultivated C. militaris forms the true fruiting body used in human supplementation. MYCRO cultures pure C. militaris strains bred from diverse, globally collected spores, then screened for fruiting performance and cordycepin concentration. Each strain is genetically profiled and maintained under strict isolation to prevent drift.

Maitake (Grifola frondosa, Strain 9827)

We cultivate Maitake Strain 9827, the global reference strain used in clinical and nutritional research. Known for its exceptional beta-glucan expression and stable fruiting behaviour, this strain is purity-tested and periodically rejuvenated to maintain its biochemical integrity across generations.

Reishi (Ganoderma spp.)

"Reishi" spans several closely related Ganoderma species. Rather than relying on historical naming alone, MYCRO cultivates domestically verified strains selected for high triterpenoid and polysaccharide content, now recognised as the true markers of bioactive potency. Each strain is analytically confirmed and grown under conditions that produce the mature, varnished fruiting bodies characteristic of genuine high-quality Reishi.

Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor)

Our T. versicolor strain was isolated by our Yarra Valley cultivator Tom Bell and is perfectly adapted to the region's microclimate. The strain is maintained under sterile culture conditions and periodically re-isolated to ensure purity and vigour.

Shiitake (Lens Strain 3790)

Strain 3790 is the global reference strain for Shiitake and is prized for dense fruiting, balanced lentinan and eritadenine expression, and its authentic aroma. MYCRO cultivates this strain for its proven stability and consistent bioactive profile across harvest cycles.
