What it may do

The PM Bundle supports rest, recovery, and immune balance through Reishi, Turkey Tail, and Shiitake. Together they help the body unwind, repair, and restore overnight, preparing you for the next day.

Immediately (first few days)
Some users notice a sense of calm in the evening, deeper breathing, or lighter digestion. Reishi begins modulating cortisol and activating the body’s rest response. Turkey Tail starts feeding beneficial gut bacteria, easing inflammation and improving digestive comfort. Shiitake contributes subtle nourishment through antioxidants and amino acids, helping restore balance at a cellular level.

After a few weeks

A note on the science
This stack unites three major compound groups: triterpenes and polysaccharides from Reishi, PSK and PSP protein-bound polysaccharides from Turkey Tail, and lentinan and eritadenine from Shiitake. MYCRO’s dual and fractionated extraction methods preserve the full biochemical diversity of each species, ensuring the PM Stack supports not just sleep, but long-term restoration and immune vitality.

How it is grown

The PM Bundle combines three of the most grounding and restorative mushrooms, Reishi, Turkey Tail, and Shiitake, each cultivated with precision and respect for their natural ecology to ensure purity, potency, and sustainability.

Reishi is cultivated at our solar-powered farm in Ballarat, Victoria.
This slow-growing species requires patience and stability, with fruiting bodies taking several months to mature. The grow rooms are maintained at elevated humidity and moderate warmth, encouraging the development of the lacquered red-brown surface that signals triterpene formation. Airflow moves slowly, replicating the stillness of the forest where Reishi naturally thrives. Once the fruiting bodies reach full maturity and the edges curl inward, they are harvested and dried under controlled conditions to preserve their complex chemistry. The spent substrate is composted and cycled back into the system, returning nutrients to new growth and completing the sustainable loop that defines Reishi’s natural life cycle.

Turkey Tail is cultivated in the Yarra Valley by Tom Bell.
Thriving on lignin-rich material, Turkey Tail plays a vital role in nature’s recycling of forest matter. To replicate that environment, we use a sterilised mix of Australian hardwood sawdust. Once inoculated, each block is incubated as the mycelium weaves through the substrate, forming dense white mats that resemble the forest floor beneath fallen logs. Unlike most cultivated species, Turkey Tail performs best outdoors, where it experiences the temperature shifts and natural airflow that promote strong fruiting. When the characteristic bands of blue, brown, and cream fully form, the mushrooms are harvested, air-dried, and immediately processed for extraction to preserve the integrity of their bioactive compounds.

Shiitake is cultivated at our Victorian farm using a blend of Australian hardwood sawdust and organic wheat bran as substrate.
This mixture mirrors the decaying trees Shiitake favours in its native forests, providing the dense carbon source it needs to develop its signature umami flavour and complex bioactive profile. The blocks are sterilised with steam, inoculated with culture, and incubated in complete darkness until the mycelium fully colonises the substrate. This long incubation period allows the mycelium to build strength before fruiting is triggered. To initiate growth, we introduce fresh airflow, filtered light, and subtle temperature changes that mimic the shift of seasons on the forest floor. Within days, firm, aromatic caps rich in lentinan and ergothioneine begin to form. Once harvested, the fruiting bodies are processed immediately for extraction, and the spent substrate is composted back into local agriculture, returning life to the soil that began it.

Together, these cultivation methods unite traditional wisdom with modern environmental control, producing mushrooms that embody the PM Stack’s purpose: balance, restoration, and deep, sustained nourishment.

How it is extracted

In our biotech lab, Dr Kyle Thomson and our team fractionate each harvested mushroom; that is, we divide it into distinct chemical groups (fractions) based on solubility, structure, and behavior.

Each fraction is then run through a bespoke extraction method. We carefully adjust: temperature, agitation, dilution, extraction time, and sonication settings, to extract and preserve each class of bioactive compounds without damage.

We avoid concentrating only one compound (e.g. beta-glucans). Instead, after the individual extractions, the fractions are recombined to mirror the natural “full-spectrum” balance found in the mushroom.

For stability and versatility, we use dual-extraction (water + alcohol). Some compounds (like triterpenoids, sterols, flavonoids) are not water-soluble and require alcohol to unlock them.

In our final blend, we maintain a 1:1 extract ratio (i.e. 1000 mg dual-extracted mushroom per mL).

To support consumer needs, we also offer alcohol-free versions. The alcohol is removed (via rotary evaporation), and the extract is stabilised with certified organic apple cider vinegar, instead of glycerin and synthetic preservatives.

Species and strain

Each mushroom in the PM Bundle is cultivated from verified, research-backed species and strains chosen for their authenticity, bioactive richness, and genetic integrity. MYCRO draws on global mycological research, domestic cultivation trials, and local expertise to ensure each represents the truest expression of its species.

Reishi (Ganoderma spp.)
“Reishi” refers to several closely related species within the Ganoderma genus, including G. lucidum and G. lingzhi, which have often been misclassified throughout history. Rather than relying solely on taxonomic naming, MYCRO selects domestically available Ganoderma strains verified for high triterpenoid and polysaccharide content, the biomarkers now recognised as true indicators of potency. Each strain is confirmed through analytical testing and controlled cultivation, producing the rich red-brown, varnished fruiting bodies characteristic of mature, bioactive Reishi.

Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor)
Our Trametes versicolor strain was isolated by cultivator Tom Bell just fifteen minutes from our Yarra Valley grow site. This proximity is no coincidence; the strain is perfectly adapted to the region’s microclimate, humidity, and air composition. Grown close to where it was found, it consistently produces strong yields and reliable bioactive expression. The strain is maintained under sterile culture conditions and periodically re-isolated to preserve purity and vigour, ensuring MYCRO’s Turkey Tail remains both genetically stable and distinctly Australian.

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes)
Lentinula edodes is one of the world’s most extensively cultivated and genetically characterised mushrooms, with hundreds of strains adapted to diverse climates and substrates. MYCRO cultivates Strain 3790, the global reference standard for Shiitake, sourced from the world’s leading culture banks. This strain is prized for its dense fruiting body formation, balanced expression of lentinan and eritadenine, and its rich, authentic aroma. It represents the benchmark for both traditional Shiitake cultivation and modern bioactive performance.

Together, these verified species and strains embody MYCRO’s commitment to scientific precision, ecological authenticity, and the cultivation of mushrooms that promote balance, restoration, and deep nourishment.

How to use

As the day winds down, shake your Reishi, Turkey Tail, and Shiitake bottles. These extracts are denser, so give them a few seconds to mix evenly.
Draw 1 mL from each and add them into a small glass of water or warm tea. The colours deepen and settle as the aroma softens.
Drink about 30–60 minutes before bed, allowing your body to shift naturally into recovery mode.
